Being in the parts business, I can say that vw's require obscure maintenance. Also, when they break, they break in the most ridiculous way. Not to mention most of their engines are backward.
But yeah, they are really cool people. I know a tall lanky guy that has a slammed mark 3 with 9" wide rims and rolled fenders. Red body and teal rims. Not to mention my boss has a 84 rabbit GTI and is Chinese / Irish with a huge beard. Oh and my co-worker has a vr6 jetta and complains about loving vw's lol
