You do not need the mod.
The q pods are a bit fatter and about 2 or 3 inches longer than 100 round pods. You need a belt that will fit 150 round refill pods. Or atleast my 150 round pod holders hold the Qpod perfectly.
If you need i can take a picture of the q pod next to a normal pod and also add a q pod into my harness alongside of a regular pod.
