I was gonna say instead of using a canvas use something thick like a comforter off a bed and why don't you make the bottom a kind of funnel that all the balls would eventually roll into the center and drop right back into a pod or something, that would be really nice, and if you had alot of time on your hands you could probably find a way to make it collapsible for easy assembly and easily to tear down to put back inside and store conveniently.
