By the time I was done there I was thirsty again and that last about a week doing that everynight. The bad thing was I worked in a doctor's office and I went in every morning and told them that I had diabetes. They would do a finger stick and my blood sugar would be normal because I was up all night filtering the sugar out of my blood. Uncontrolled diabetes affects your immune system and since I have Cystic Fibrosis my immune system is already weak. So I spent 6 weeks in the hospital.
Did you not have any insulin? My girlfriend has an insulin pump, whenever her blood sugar gets to high she just hits a couple buttons and she's set.
