i went to a local battery place and they didn't have a "9.6v" rechargeable. they said they dont exist, so yea im going to try a fresh 9v and go from there. the guys at the battery place were looking...

i can't use a 9volt in my 05. but the way i charge it is i just plug it in when i go to bed if i know i am playing the next day.

whenever i charge mine safety is on. ive had no charging problems as of yet. i don't know what kind of things could cause it to not charge properly.
