Re: Looking for a Spyder

The RSX only does one of the gasses, I got the RS because I wanted CO2 and Compressed Air.

Re: Looking for a Spyder

I recommend the RS. Not over the other guns, but it deserves a look. I just got mine a while ago and love it. It's versatile, easily adjustable, easily cleaned and shoots reliably.

Re: Ball breaks, chopping and other

Looks like it's a barrel break then. No chops. It's very little paint, so I'm not spraying paint aka flame thrower... ;)

Good to know it's normal! Cant' wait to keep playing.

Ball breaks, chopping and other

I am just curious to know... how do you know when you're chopping or what actually happens to the ball?

I assume that a chop is when the ball doesn't get completely down and the bolt comes and cuts...

Re: What should I do

Seems expensive, but I guess it's not that bad.

One day of paintballing, when I didn't have my own equipment was about 100-120$. 20$ to rent the equipment, and a case of 200 balls was 120$ or so,...

Re: Barrel size? (bore)

Interesting...

I thought the paintball had to match the whole length of the barrel or air would go around it, causing it to lose accuracy.

Re: Barrel size? (bore)

Ok, so I've checked the kits online. Thanks for the replies.

This may come from my lack of knowledge on paintball markers and such, but I have a concern.

The point of barrel size is to have one...

Barrel size? (bore)

Can anyone tell me what the Barrel size (bore) on the Spyder RS is?

I want to buy the 2 sizes that are missing, so if it's a large barrel, I'd like to get a medium and small. Are there kits that...

Re: superstitions?

These are all rituals, not superstitions!

I just make sure I have enough gatorade, allergy pills and sinus headache pills in my bag in case I need them for the day. Once at the field, analyze who...

Re: Calling all fathers!!! I need advice!!!

I don't think it's a very good idea. As mentioned a few times already, I'm not sure a 6 year old is able to comprehend the full extent of why the rules are they way they are. I wouldn't want one of...

Re: CO2 and the RS (or others)

Thanks for the answers. I'll just be maintaining the gun as best I can to keep it in top shape!

Re: RS Series

I had the exact same problem. Called Spyder and they wanted me to send in the gun, but I didn't have time for that.

I fixed the problem myself tho, I'll post some pics soon. Here's what you...

Re: CO2 and the RS (or others)

I'm not worried about the velocity, it comes with co2. As long as I don't have to worry about the gun. Thanks!

CO2 and the RS (or others)

As the thread title mentions, I want to know more about my RS and it's use with CO2.

If you shoot alot and the gun gets cold, should I worry?

Would you try and shoot less with CO2 and you would...

Re: Break in? on RS...

Ahh, so really there's no break in. Just play with it, lube it and tweak it at ever game. Eventually less tweaking will be required.

Good, I'm all good to play now... I just need a game!

Re: My ROUGH tests

The problem with this idea is that the fingers don't feel anything until there is contact and shoots. With a real trigger, you feel the trigger as your fingers are really sensitive to touch, so you...

Break in? on RS...

Is there any particular break in period for the Spyder RS? Or really any guns?

Also, when can we expect a forum area for the new RS and RSX? :D

Re: 08 electra

Wouldn't tarnish if you would polish it every week or so, but it would be way too heavy!

I'd rather go for stainless steel. Put a coat of car wax on it, and inside the barrel to see how it works...

Re: Cleaning After A Day of Play

What's the ASA? I just opened up my gun for the first time, oiled the Oring from the bolt, opened up the main spring compartment and oiled them there too.

As for squeegee, would you just take out...

Speed range possible (FPS)

I just came back from the paintball range to test out the new RS I got and was testing the velocity of the paintballs.

What's the range you should be getting out of the marker with a full CO2 tank,...

I don't even know what Ramping means... is it the Burst mode I have on my RS?

Re: Tactical question, up in the air shot.

Ahh, I didn't account for blind fire... it's normally not allowed.

I'll try it anyway next time I go out, I'm still curious!

Tactical question, up in the air shot.

I have a question for vets here, of legal use on the field and possibility.

If you shoot almost straight in the air, will the balls come back down fast enough to break when hitting the targets that...

Re: What would you change about paintball?

Funny everyone complains about the price. I guess it's all demographics.

Cost to play 2 hours indoors: 35$ + tax, you get your rental equipment, 200 balls and 2 hours of play. Not expensive, not...
