cup seal and valve pin question
 

i'm new to the forum as for posting but have been reading for a couple of months.
my question is about the cup seal and valve pin. i had them out today and found the cup seal was stripped out and the valve pin was loose. i had an extra cup seal so i changed it. but i don't know how long it was stripped out, would it cause any malfunction ? i have had a lot of problems choppin' balls since i put my rocking trigger on but i'm getting a good force-fed hopper soon.
