OK I want a pump... Help!

Ok I think I want to get a pump. What I need to know is how much will it set me back? What kind should I get? And where do I go to get it.

I am not big on the 12g so I am looking for one that uses a tank. C02 or High Pressure Nitro.

Help me oh Pump Marker Gurus!

It all depends on how much you wanna spend... Trracers and Maverics go for $40-50. After that theres cocker pumps which you can get for right around $200, give or take. Then theres phantoms, with many configurations. These will go in the $200-$300 range depending on accessories, anno, setup, etc. If your really ambitous, Carters are like $600, and theres plenty of Palmers pumps that are very high quality in the $500 and up range. Of course, a PGP will run $60-$90 in most cases, or there are other Sheridan style pumps avalible for under $200 including the p-68 sc, and p-68 at (auto trigger). Theres more, that im sure ive forgotten, bu pick a price range and it will be easier for us to help you pick.

I'd recommend the Traccer, Maverick, or Kingman Hammer as a starter pump. As for the tank, you can get a 3.5/4oz for $20-$25, or a 13ci/3k or 22ci/3k for a little under $100 if you need HPA. From experience though, hammers seem to run better on CO2.

Check the Pump B/S/T on Pbnation, SCP, and MCB.

If you want small/light and cheap go with the Maverick. I got a Hornet nd I love the little thing! Not done getting it ready though either.

If you want something mid priced and lots of custom options go with a wgp sniper, maybe a used Chipley.

If you want something small/light and good go with a Phantom. I just like the small size of the Nelson based pumps!

200ish is going to be my range.

Where do I get one, I would rather not get one from PBNation. To many unscrupulous people there and don't want to get screwed. I don't know enough about pumps and it would be easy to dup me.

Thanks,

$200 I think would get you the basic model Phantom I believe. PM Otter and ask him he's got a listing of prices on his site also.

You could also get a sniper 2 (autococker pump) in that area also.

Go to www.stockclasspaintball.com and click on there forum's and look for there buy/sell/trade section and browse around. You will probably see some familiar names there also!

OK I think I have narrowed it down to a Phantom.

What is the difference with the VSC ones and the others? And for the matter what are the differences with all of the Phantoms?

All the Phantoms are the same marker, their only difference is the type of feed they have (stock or using a hopper) and wether you are running 12grams or CA. The rest are cosmetic differences in grips, barrel length, etc...

Recon got it. CCI offers all the accessories that you need to make any type of configuration you want. stock feed or direct feed. back bottle or bottom line. internally, every Phantom is the same. except for maybe minor changes to the new models. but, the Phantoms really have not changed since it was created.

there are no upgrades for the Phantom. though, i think Airsoldier makes some custom items. also, many of the popular barrel manufacturs makes a barrel for it. though, i have not experienced any barrel out shoot the stock barrel. makes Brass Eagle paint look good! i have been able to out get much better accuracy as compared to a Tippmann Flatline at long distances.

tech support is excellent. nearly 100% of the time that you call CCI and talk to a human, it is the owner. real nice fellow.

my CCI prices - if you don't see something on CCI's website that i do not have a price for, let me know.

phantoms are just upgraded hammers, mavericks, trracers blah blah blah

So get a hammer or maverick or tracer etc. see if you like it, sell it (resale is the same as youbought it for) then buy a phantom, if oyu dont like it (resale is almost the same).
