I'm back again... so what have I missed?
 

Hey all!

I've been away from paintball for a while (again) and I've made a resolution, of sorts, to get myself back up 'n running and back out onto the paintball field(s). This is gonna take some time as I'd 'let myself go' a bit over the last few years. I've also got most of my markers in pieces because that's how I left them when I'd stopped getting my paintball on. The only marker I've got that might be usable is my PMR which I'd bought as a treat to myself but never actually got around to using before all my kit got stowed away. This means I'm gonna take some time, probably from now until February/March next year, to get myself and my markers fit enough to play. The main problem is that I no longer know what's around, who is good to go to for parts and which parts are the better to choose from. It's kinda what put me off the last time I 'tried' to get back into the game a couple of years back.

So what's good? What developments have I missed on the Spyder front?

Welcome back! You haven't missed too much. Spyder has come out with the .50 cal and .43 cal (11mm) markers. The 11mm are pretty cool, fun to mess around with in the backyard. The .50 cal markers are pretty cool too, small and light weight. Other than that, things are about the same.

Those questions that keep you back can always be asked to one of us veterans. We have quite a bit of a knowledge base here, and know where to look if we don't know. So... bring it on. ;)

Hey shunut! I remember your truly awesome spimmy. I've still got the 2 FASORs and 2 spimmys amongst my old projects to finish and projects like your spimmy were always an inspiration. Are you still doing custom markers like that?

Are the forums a lot slower paced and less populated nowadays? Or am I just having problems with my browser? 2 days in a row now I've clicked on the New Posts tab and it's come up with nothing...

It's just slow. The older users typically still are active.

I don't really do them too much anymore, just don't have the time or funds. I have a couple in the works, but need the time to work on them. I would really love to get back into building them, as I loved to do it. Maybe once I finish my car and school, I'll have the time, and money.

yeah the forums are slow and nowadays there is more talk about non paintball stuff then paintball stuff. which is probably due to the fact that most of the regulars dont play anymore
