RAM suggestions
 

I finally have a 64bit OS on my desktop and I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM. I currently have 4GB (2 x 2GB) and would like to add another 4GB (2 x 2GB).

Current Spec:

Intel DP45SG Motherboard - Specs
Intel Core2 Quad Q8400 (2.67 GHz) - Specs
OCZ Z3 Platinum Edition PC3 10666 (OCZ3P13334GK) - Specs

I thought about getting another kit like I already have in there but cheapest I can find new is $135, which is ridiculous and I know I paid no where near that when I bought it. So now I am open to suggestions.

look for some 4 x 2gb kits? could end up running you about the same.

Yeah, the RAM that I'm looking at now that seems to match with my system the best is $45 for a 4GB kit (2x2GB).

Crucial RAM looks decent, but not recommended for my setup by Cruicial. Kingston's CL isn't great. PNY Optima is too much for my dimms, they can only hold 2GB per slot.

oh, i completely derped on that one...i KNEW you were looking at 4 sticks...
