miss-threaded barrels?
i know i'm not the only one who has run into this problem, but now i'm dissapointed.
i just bought three DYE Ultralite barrel backs (.684, .688, .692) and only the .692 fits my BLM. all three work on my "Classic" though. i've had trouble with different Spyder barrels before, so it's not the first time this has happened. i was wondering if anyone knew a solution to make them fit? justin |
Re: miss-threaded barrels?
I've heard of it, but never heard of a solution unfortunately. Try calling Dye is the best advice I could give you..

Re: miss-threaded barrels?
I would take them back and ask for ones that fit both of your spyders.

Re: miss-threaded barrels?
well unfortunately i purchased them from an online store, so taking them back might not work so well. i might just have to contact DYE.
thx for the input. justin |
Re: miss-threaded barrels?
I have a 14" Dye Xcel barrel that seems to have a thread that has a 1/8 in split in it, i never noticed it on my old R6 and my E99, but for some reason, it gets hung up on my dragun and wont screw in all the way

Re: miss-threaded barrels?
that has to .....suck. I would be so pissed right now. Hope you get everything worked out, good luck.

Re: miss-threaded barrels?
well, by the looks of it the two that don't fit have a little wider/thicker threads. i haven't contacted DYE yet, but i'll let you know what the final verdict is.
