12g drop out (quick) changer vs. bucket changer
 

I was curious as to why companies changed the style of 12g adapters. When I was younger I have a BE 12g quick changer on an old BE (raptor i think it was). I sold it a while ago but as I'm looking for those kind of adapters (the real quick change ones) i notice that nobody makes them and that they're really hard to find. Does anybody know why they switched the style to bucket style?
