no balance valve
 

hey,

NB: i havent been on here in years but glad my login still works. Kia Ora to everyone anyway.

my mate jst got a vs2 he brought from trademe (nz equivlnt to ebay) and it had problems working. ive had many spyder and no them real well, so he gave it 2 me to check out.

when i striped it apart, it doesnt have a balence valve in it. just a valve/striker and spring which looks like the normal 'old' setup.
this wont allow the gun to cycle with the input pressutre its getting.

so the only remedy i can think of is to remove the 300psi gauge and turn the pressure up. but this will then make it a normal HP spyder in a vs2 body.

sureley there is something i can do to get it working better.

any ideas??

ohh i have replaced the internals with my old 'mod' internals from my pilot. like a drilled valve and polished/cuped striker.
still not he best but a step up from stock standard.

any1 think of something else that can help?

and here is what the difference, but to fix your problem you would want a better valve like an AKA or Rocket to compensate for the balance valve

yeah i noticed the bug difference when i took it apart.
the aka and madman rocket r haerd to come by in NZ. and if i remember correctly the was little difference between the rocket and a modified stock. (what ever happend to otters page??)

you meant ^^^that didn't you?

the rocket valve an AKA are head and shoulders above the NDZ, Magnaport, Modified stock and other cheaper designs as far as performance from the valve is concerned. Looks like you need to brush up on your Spyder bible.

i was refering to the info on otters old project LP page. thea was a difference but it was only by a few FPS.
