Came to a good conclusion! Thanks!

Got and '08 New Designz Quick Flip ASA with a rail... But I bought it close to retail though, (which isn't like me), but I really needed it. But honestly, its definitely worth retail price! Buy it, you won't be disappointed... Its very stury, has nice milling, and works very well...

I've used New Designz ASAs for years and I love them. Easy as butter to turn and twice as easy to maintain, just one oring to lube every now and then.

The ones I've used (EZ Bleed and lightweight) had to have a rail with them. Not sure if any of them don't.

cp asa's are one of, if not THE, best asa's on the market. I have loved everyone i have had and they are the only asa i will pay to upgrade to. You can't go wrong with them. But, it all comes down to your personal preference and what your looking to spend. But, dont have any reservations about going with the CP, you wont be let down.

I have another question...

How do some people (with a spyder vs2) get the asa's attached without a rail?

I have both the NDZ and the CP; I own 2 NDZ's and one CP. There was an older version of the NDZ (which is on my Pilot) and a newer version. (on my Shocker) The older one has different venting and seems to turn harder. I like the newer version better than the CP. They both turn butter smooth but the CP is larger and not as compact. I also like the looks of the NDZ better. In the end, it really comes down to personal preference since they both are very similiar in performance.

i had a ndz and own two cp direct mounts. i dont like the ndz because the knob can twist all the way off, while the cp knobs dont.
