Needle valve
Any one know what the thread is on the bottom side of a needle valve? I'm trying to "manufacture" an anti-siphon tube.

(Oops, probably wrong area, sorry.)

Re: Needle valve
Thanks Kenny! I got er dun.

Those links were helpful but I thought I would comment......

The "1/4 X 1/8 tubing to male pipe" adapter is a common hardware store shelf item. I used a 1/4 X 4 inch piece of very bendable copper (refrigeration) tubing. The tubing is secured by compression fitting that comes with the adapter. The "L" shaped bend is pretty but not necessary.
Secure your tank in a padded vise or reasonable facsimile. I used a band style oil filter wrench. It got the job done but clamping it in a vise is a safer less-straining method. Unsrew the needle valve. Clean all thread locker off. Oh yeah, while it's off, may as well replace the o-ring thread seal.
Make sure you have the correct size allen wrench to remove the needle retaining screw. Careful, the spring may take off. Re-seat needle and spring then start screwing in your AStube after wrapping threads with teflon tape. Screw assembly into the ASA on the gun it will be matched to. Tighten and adjust tube for the optimum operating location. Using a permanent marker or whatever, mark the "up" position on the needle valve nut. Dap thread locker on the threads then relocate into the tank. Keep out of reach of children while it cures. Give it twelve hours. Refill tank and Happy human hunting.
