I'm new to the forum, but not new to paintball. I just recieved my MR1 and want to know if a scope will help you be more accurate or will it just get in the way. any suggestions would be helpful.

scopes on paintball markers really do nothing other than help you see the opponent before he sees you. there mostly for looks, now a reddot or holographic sight actually has some use on a marker. since they are geared more towards close-quarters rapid target acquisition, they make a little more senes, but are still not much other than looks. even closed-bolt highend markers only have so much effective range and usually that is well within un-enhanced sight distance.

Plenty... Many companies make them and they all work the same way. You can spend anywhere from 30 - 2000 dollars.

2000 being the high end self powered, systems that can also do radar tracking...

All you really need is a BSA or ADCO or similar company and their $30-$40 Sight.

I would go to a hunting store. You will find a huge selection and they are often cheaper than paintball retailers.

Here's a couple of sites that I have dealt with in the past.

Pyramid has the most selection as far as accessories and pretty good prices. Look at these, I'm sure you'll find something you like.
Keep in mind that you'll want to go with something with a pretty simple design in the event that you take a hit to it and have to clean it.

would this (http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/accessory.pl?accessory_id=962) work if i also used (http://www.trinitypaintball.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TR+291) and mounted it on the side of the handle in order to distance it from the hopper and to raise it so my goggles don't hit the stock?
