I never really checked but I never ran out of air or anything either
so I guess I'm getting average effieciency

This is not a good question!!!!

When it comes to efficiency you need to be more specific.

Tank Size?
Air Type?
Weather?
Barrel length?
Bore/Paint match?

Get it. :)

I assumed people would put that but I guess not

is there a math program that can do it because it would take a long time to count shot by shot

I never counted my shots... lol. Last time I filled my tank, I had the leak problem with my gauge... I still haven't played (something has always come up)... so after the leak and drying firing a few times to make sure everything was groovy, I had 1000psi left in my 48/3000 tank.

I fired off a hopper in the back yard, and dry fired a bunch of times with the pressure running around 225ish and I still have close to 800 psi left in the tank. I probably dry fired a hundred or so shots, maybe more.

I put 350 shots thru mine at 225 psi and used just under 1000 psi in my 48/3000 I don't think your responses are going to be consistent though. Every gun shoots different...

I played the other day w/ a 48/3000 with CA and I was using about 2000 psi after about 350 shot. This is a educated guess because my hopper holds 200 balls and 1 pod hold 150 balls and I used both. The gun pressure was about 260psi to 275 psi. I hope this helps.

No, there is not a math program that can do it. I personally can get a close estimate with my very best math, but I haven't seen anyone do much better (or even close to where my math hits...).

Cammy... I don't believe that'd be possible with your tank and pressure unless you're a miracle worker with a direct supply of Drago's pixie dust... I say this because according to my math, you used 137psi per shot, which would result in 1051 shots per tank. That's off the charts.... like, WAY off...

Lycan, your PSI per shot was 274.286psi. From that, I can assume you'd get about 523 shots per full tank. :)

As Dan was saying, there is a LOT to efficiency. Flow factors, blowback, pressure escaping around orings/out the feedneck, velocity, PSI from your regulator, etc, etc.... If you post, list what the weather conditions were (snowing, raining, sunny, etc), marker's shape (beat-to-hell-and-hasn't-been-lubed-in-years, pristine, etc), pressure coming in from the regulator on the marker, and a PSI used from the tank.

This usually comes pretty close...

Pfft. That's for markers like stock Shockers. You'll be very, very unlucky if that's the kinda efficiency you're getting.

OK so i recently went paintballing with my VS3 and on 1 fill i used a 68/4500 tank and i ran the gun at around 180 (mine seems to work on that low of pressure even tho i heard of recocking problems) and i went through a pod less than 1500 rounds. VERY NICE!

hey jw what would my electra do with a 72/3000 on stock psi. 20" barrel

Once I got my VS2 broke in, I averaged my Air/Shots at 48/3000 tank=850 shots with the pressure set to 230psi and velocity at 280fps.

That's 5 (140) pods & a full hopper. A few times, I've actually ran out of paint before I did air.

Once my tank (and/or gun) gets under 200psi I encounter re-cocking problems. It took me a case (or so) of paint a to break in the regulator.

It's a touchy gun to get tuned in at first. But, once you do it's very efficient.
