View Full Version : What's with the elbow feed?

I just bought an Xtra, and so far I like it. Except for one thing, which leads me to my question for the pros on this board.
Why in the world did Spyder equip this marker with a bent elbow to attach the hopper to the feed tube? If a vertical feed tube is supposed to make ball feeding more consistent, why make the tube leading to it a bent elbow (seems to defeat the purpose)? That is, why not just make it a true vertical feed, and have the hopper mount straight above the feed tube? It sure wouldn't cost any more, as all they would have to do is make the hopper adapter straight and not bent.
I actually tried just jamming the hopper directly onto the feed tube, and it fed a lot more consistently.

Your marker was not supposed to come with an angled feedneck. They come new with a vertical one. They are available here in the b/s/t section and on several websites. If you bought the Spyder brand new, contact Kingman and they will fix you up.
Welcome to the boards! :)
