Well since a few people have hijacked another thread with this discussion, how many songs are on your iPod/mp3? How many are on your computer?

Creative Zen Vision M - 178 songs
Computer - 115 songs

I haven't moved all my music to my Vision M yet, but I don't keep music on my computer, I don't like to take up memory with stuff that doesn't need to be there so I burn everything to cds.

How does one count the music files other than one at a time? Is there something I'm missing? I'll be danged if I'm going to take the time to count them up that way!

Found it! Only 341 songs on the Ipod :( and 20 mb in my computer (however many that is.)

I don't download a lot of music. I usually just listen to internet radio or regular radio. Only time I listen to my ipod is when I'm running. You know, I've been getting really bored with the music on it though!

noone tell vike the secret, he needs to do some math.

No one tell Maxx-Damage that the ban stick only requires one swing - not much math involved there! :p

2033 on my Zen Vision M. Missing a few hundred songs that are on my comps.

If it counts for anything I have 11 videos and TV shows. Despite the small screen size, res is only slightly lower than a conventional TV, and it looks glorious.

can I show him?

you can find out how many you have on your computer by opening the file that they are in, highlighting the first song, pressing shift and going all the way to the bottom of the list, and click on that song while holding shift. if you are in windows explorer, it will tell you on the left hand side how many files you have selected.

Or more easily, just click the top one, scroll to the bottom and hold control while pressing the last one.

The ultimate way to find out though, it to open an explorer and hit search, search for music with nothing typed in. Hypothetically it should bring up all your music, you just select everything there and right click and hit properties, should tell you the number of files selected.

umm..im a dj with a hobby of paintballin. I got all my songs becuase i used to have 20,000 cd's and now i just carry it all on 2 ipods. I have over 500,000 on my comp, that i usually mix with. When your at a dj level like me, you have 2 have at least half a million songs. I dj 3 weddings every weekend.

i have 1330 songs on my computer, for a little over 90 hours of play. i own the CDs for nearly all of it. most of the rest were downloaded as free promos. not too shabby for a nearly completely legal collection. since im not a DJ. lol

ive always wondered how DJing works with copyright laws? they prohibit making money from someone else's music, which you're doing as a DJ... is there some kind of special exception or something?
