so today i was driving home from school after my last midterm of the year, thinking it was an amazing day. about 55 degrees, sunny, and i only had to go to school for two hours. i come over the hill and see about 4 police cars, 2 ambulances, a med-evac helicopter, news helicopters, a fire truck, and about 30 people gathered about 200 yards from my house. now you have to understand that i live in the stix, so i have never seen anything like this so close to my house, so it was kinda a shock. i knew it was an accident, but i didnt want to stand there with all the other people gawking at an accident, so i just go home and try to ignore the roar of the helicopters. i hate when people stare at accidents, and i didnt want to be one of those people. i decided that i would wait til the 5:00 news to see what happened.

it turns out that it was a car full of kids my age that lived about a quarter mile from me got into a SERIOUS accident. the car was literally wrapped around the tree. two of them died, and the other two are in "serious condition" at the nearby hospital. the car was in such bad shape that they couldnt even tell if they were wearing seatbelts.

i found one of the early newscasts online:

im asking for some prayers for the families of the kids involved, and please pray for the ones still in the hospital.

I saw this on the news just a couple minutes ago. The car was completely destroyed almost beyond recognition. That sucks that it was so close to your house and stuff. My thoughts and prayers are with those injured and those who passed.

Sounds like a bad day across the country. Friday the 13th came a week late.

Jeez dude, so much death and mayhem lately. What is this world coming to that God wishes this to happen? Enough with my pondering of God's plans...

Keep us updated on how the other 2 in serious condition are coming, dude!
