Here's my mr1, with homemade foregrip and sight riser, and a "kinda gas-thru" stock. What do you guys think?

Pretty good. Good work.

What material is the sight riser and fore grip made out of?

02-18-2007, 10:51 AM
the sight riser is cast epoxy resin and the foregrip is a foam core wrapped with fiberglass

looks like a bar of soap....lol.......looks good man

nice mods I did kind of the same thing with the asa on my gun however I modded the stock as well and mounted the asa underneath. I also used a 90degree copper elbow to allow me to use a 10 round tube for a lower profile when put in a sniper position or when I don't feel that I need to carry a lot of paint. Check out my pics and let me know what you think

And yeah, Pwgsx, it does look like a bar of soap lol. I gotta sand and paint it....I was thinking maybe a tiger stripe pattern for the whole gun, we'll see..

looks real good. Could we get a close up on the back of the gun? Glad I could help out some too.

the gas thru stock is clever.

Crimson, you mean a close-up of the stock?

Crimson, you mean a close-up of the stock?
Yeah, like the stock and how you fed the macro to the asa.

02-20-2007, 12:47 PM
Here ya go crimson! The asa is bolted in the stock so that the macroline fitting points to right underneath the aluminium piece that attaches to the gun, which is where I drilled a hole for the macroline to go through.:)

I made mine a little more difficult

02-21-2007, 08:27 AM
Nice mod alam! what did you use exactly to do that? I was thinking of doing something like that before, but decided to use the gun's stock ASA to save money...I'm poor =(
Oh and is the paintjob duracoat or some other gun finish, or is just spray paint?

02-22-2007, 10:14 AM
first off I do not recommend doing that mod to you gun if you have cut the top rail off....I drilled a hole in the stock to put my quick disconnect air fitting into it and connected the macro line fitting with a coupling... when you drill the hole it takes alot away from the frame of the stock and mine ended up breaking....the funny thing was that it did not break during game play, it broke in my gun bag on the way home....then I drilled in to the trigger frame so I could run the macro line trough it to my X-chamber. In the end I liked it alot cause it took some weight off the bottom of the gun from the asa. the paint job is just a 3 different kinds of camo spray paint and I finished it off with a glossy paint so it would not chip off....if you have any questions feel free to PM me

umm... just aint happenin' for me.

06-23-2007, 09:19 PM
im new to this but why noh just use a remot

06-26-2007, 02:38 PM
hey clockwork, you could probably cut out the back of the stock, then use a 20oz with a stockplate thingy on it couldn't you? that'd be pretty neat imo

06-27-2007, 02:32 PM
Thats cool! I like the hose though stock thingy. i think its neet.

06-27-2007, 04:36 PM
looks very.......... unique! lol. like it tho. i would'nt use it for speed/airball tho. to long for that. good for woods!

Where can I buy the hardware I need to run the air along the side of the gun - is it just a 90 degree joint or what?

Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to big mods

02-05-2008, 04:48 PM
doesnt it rattle and move around inside the stock? doesnt look like its secure, any more pics of how you hook air up to it?
very creative

I made a barrel shroud and a gas let off for my friends mr1, Gas let off is just pvc with holes drilled into it connected to a second piece of pvc which is held to the gun by that little cylinder thing below the barrel. The gas looks like the flash gaurd off of a .50 cal. sniper rifle. Sorry no pics because its not mine

on my MR1 i made a custom mounted flashlight, mount thing, and a 15 round hopper for low profile sniping. ill try to get the pics up if i can.

Here is my modest attempt at modding, most of you have probably already seen it though, my thread is just a few down in this f subforum.
