so, as most of you know, my dad was in Iraq. :tank2: well, this morning right as my 2nd period class started, my little sister and i got called to the office. on the way down there she asked me if i knew what was going on. the first thing that came to mind was "maybe dad's back." well, we get to the office and my moms on the phone. i talk to her and all you can hear is s obbing. then she says "Hey...dad's..." and at that point i'm thinking "dont say 'dead'" and when she said "back" i had to hold back tears. so, i just wanted to let you guys know and thank everyone for praying for the soldiers and keeping them in your hearts.

edit: i hate this swear filter sometimes...

Great news...Glad he made it home safe. Nothing like the feeling of seeing your family again after being deployed. I got back in January last year so most likely your dad's group was one of our replacements. Enjoy having him back.

It is a good feeling, my brother has served numerous tours in Iraq, and since he is the only family that I really have besides my wife and kids it is really hard. So when are you guys headed stateside? or did I miss that move?

Congrats. Glad to hear he has made it home safe. Nephew is about to take another tour in a month. It is an honor to have such people in our lives that would risk so much to keep us free.

I would have kicked him in the beard to see if his beard is really magical and could emit an invisible shield that protects his face. (You have to wonder...)

Great news dude! Thank him for us. :)

Awesome man. My cousin's fiance just got hurt in Afghanistan. An RPG hit his HumVee and he broke both hands and his shoulder or something. He ended up having to run a half mile back to the base to get help, he said he didn't even know he was hurt until he saw the doctors. Glad to hear your dad is back safe and sound.

Rock on! Tell him thanks!

My brother in law did 2 tours...I've seen how rough it could be on a family...his daughter was born while he was there and shee didn't meet her daddy till she was almost one!
