Well now that i got my pilot acs i don't like the red can i just strip the anodising off the body and barrel with oven cleaner and leave it raw or will it hurt it? Also are the parts all aluminum if so can i polish it with mothers. Thanks for the replies ahead of time.

Yep...oven cleaner will get most of it. And yes you can polish the aluminum, I recommed polishing compound, dremmel and a lot of time, or you could send it out and have it re-anno'd. I just got my body back from 125 customs and they did a great job and it was relatively in-expensive.

what is realatively inexpensive? sounds like a very relative term to ones income/spendable money. but it interestes me to see their work and know how much they charge. if you do not mind saying

i know i used some easy off one time to strip some anodising off some rc car parts before and then polished them with mothers but don't know what kind of harm it would do to a gun.

So long as you don't do anything to the inside of the marker you should be fine. Also, make sure it doesn't get on the inside of the barrel, that would destroy your accuracy.

Don't mind at all, it was $23 including shipping for the gloss and $20 if you want a dust finish.

I don't think so all they do is annodize, I was having trouble getting on their page earlier too. You can email them at one25customs@aol.com, pretty sure thats the right email, I will verify it tomorrow.
***correction: email is one25customs@aim.com***

Nope, they annodize what you send them, so you'll need to do all the prep work before you send it to them.

Damn, that is a good price, too bad they won't strip anno for you :(. I'm pretty sure other companies can even strip barrel anno without causing damage so I guess thats where the extra price comes in...

I saw the same thing when I went there last night, I guess they must be working on the site?

If you send them an email they'll get back to you on price. They said for just the body of my pilot in gloss black would be 23$ shipped. I'm not sure if their email is on their site but its in MVS1's first thread when he got his gun back.

they do strip the anno, etch a sodium hydroxide based dip used to remove existing anodizing. Parts must be stripped of previous coatings before new anodizing can be performed.
