Yeah, but they were a load of ****. There is no way that any truck could stop that fast going down and ramp like that even if the trailer did have the best brakes in the world. It was basically false advertising.

And the ford comercials where the Ford lifts the huge tractor with a single rope and a single pully arent? Or the GMC one where he pulls a tractor trailor up a hill? Cmon now they all stretch the truth.

Hate to break(:dodgy:) it to you, but thats that world of marketing. Every car manufacturer does it.

Edit: Also...Tundra > you. 14.8 in the 1320, with a 5300lb truck.

I don't care about the stretching of truth in car commercials... All I care about is that if my car gets hit by a meteor, my car and I will come out of it without a scratch. :)

Looks like you need a Tacoma then. ;) Don't forget you can also be attacked by Nessy and come out without a scratch.

My favorite commercial had to be the NFL one where they show all the fans sad to see the season end, then it says "Saying Goodbye is hard" or something, then shows Brett Favre and says "for some people its even harder." That had be laughing so hard.

Ok let's go way off topic...who else was shocked to see the sexually confused artist formerly known as Prince as the half-time show and can you believe he did a cover of the Foo Fighters and Jimi Hendrix

I've heard Prince doing worse. I'm not a huge fan, but he's ok. He had a couple of lookers doing some dancing, though!

The show actually wasn't bad, especially when compared to recent half time shows. I was pleasantly surprised when he pulled out some of his 80's stuff.

I liked Prince back in the day, but then he started heading out to left field and I lost interest, I was just really surprised to see him performing, and Jimi don't roll over in your grave, but I thought his cover was actually pretty good.
Vike I'm with you on the dancer's, they looked like twins, and the only thing that would have made it better would have been white t-shirts...rain, white t-shirts..Hmmmm

the maposaurs (sp) was the best

timmyshoota
02-06-2007, 07:54 AM
The only part I thought was bad about the halftime show was him covering Foo Fighters. Prince should not cover an inferior band's inferior song.

Prince's Purple Rain CD is probably one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time. His more recent Musicology was pretty good, good way for him to get back in and attract a new generation of fans. I haven't heard much from his newest album, so I can't speak much about it, but its Prince so its probably good.
