I want to upgrade my MR2 with a regulator for better consitentcy and accuracy, bit I dont know which one to get. Preferably, i would want to keep the fore-grip on the MR2, because I think that looks sweet. SO which reg should I get and how should I mount it?

Thanks

What do you use HPA or CO2

Then a Palmer Female Stabelizer or a Bob Long Torpedo woud be fine and Booth Man find a way to use it without getting rid of the forgrip

I'v been looking at fitting an hpa reg in the foregrip. The slimmest reg I can find is 1.25", but it needs to be <= 1.00" to fit without having to bore out the foregrip.

edit: I think i've just abandoned this idea.

I was thinking about that, but using it the way it shows in that video would have the regulator extended way to far out and it might get damaged.

Sweet, I guess the palmer male stabilizer is for me. You just use the end of remote line to screw into the reg right?

It is the piece that you screw into the ASA.

All you have to do is unscrew this piece:

And screw it onto this piece:

And the screw that onto your regulator

Thats the exact explination Booth Man gave me did i and it works wonder.

Remember to put teflon tape onto the fittings or else you will get air leaking problems.

For those interested, it appears that the Custom Products Long Regulator fits in the foregrip of the MR3. I would assume that, although different styles, the diameter of the two foregrips, MR2 & 3, would be the same. In the "MR3 LP Project (http://www.spyder.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=6696)" post, one is used and there are some pics at bottom of page 1.

CP regs will work for both but they aren't very good for co2. Palmer's Stablizer and BL Torpedos work much better.

For those of you who somehow do not wish to spend $200+ on an HPA system, the Palmers stabilizer works just fine. It is an inline reg compatible with standard ASA output, so virtually any gun will work. Although it does not fit inside the housing, it can fit perfectly well under the carry handle, since the drop forward is wide enough. However, this style will only allow you to use a remote coil, not something I'm particularly fond of.

But it works excessively well with CO2.
