Hey, just about to install eyes on my pilot. can someone provide me with a template for a pilot, as the one on damons site is for a round upper tube body. Or anything showing where aboputs to drill the holes.
thanks in advance

Otter's template is round as well. I've done a ton of eye installs and I use otter's template. What I do is I cut it in half and cut out the holes that are printed for the detent and the detent screw and line it up that way. I've been doing that since the very first Spyder I drilled out and it works perfectly.

ok i will do that. thanks guys. on the templates it give two different drill sizes one metric and one imperial. it says that a 2.9mm is ideal, if your hardware store has metric. well im in nz and everything is metric, so i should use a 2.9mm ??

Yeah, you can try the 2.9mm but from my experience the eyes are bigger than that.

what size do u recommend?

Go with the 2.9mm and slowly work up from there until you get the right size. I can't remember what bit I use, but I know the 2.9mm is slightly too small.

i will do that with my spimmy, but what size drill bit is used for intimidator eyes?

Intimidator eyes are bigger that spyder eyes. I can't remember how big they are though. I think I just went up bit by bit until mine fit. I'll take my spimmy apart and see what bit fits.

I checked my Spimmy and the bit that fit in the eye holes the best was a 3/16" bit.
