YES.. You sure he did not say 260?

above 300 you can break skin.

nah 260 is pretty slow...his gun was going FAST and HARD

anything above 300 is extremely dangerous. masks are only made to withstand a 300 fps hit. a hit with a paintball above that can crack or even shatter a lens. just think about it... if someone comes to bunker you, he/she usually doesnt fire only one shot. there are several fired. imagine that the first one cracks the lens of your mask, the second goes strait through, into your eye through your brain and stops when it hits the back of your skull. worth it? i think not.

Get a ref on him. He shouldn't be shooting that fast. It's dangerous and very stupid. Your goggles are rated at 350FPS or so, but should be shot at a maximum of 300FPS. Make sure to smack him in the face for his ignorance the next time you see him.

Grr... seems you posted a few seconds quicker than me.

UM it depends on the course to what the maximum velocity but its usually 280 to 290. Yeah i think that 360 is a little harsh it could probaly cut skin. Did he ever hit you with a shot?If a gun is fireing paintballs at over 300 fps, it should be adjusted to lower the velocity.

The maximum velocity that you should ever set your paintball gun to is 300 feet per second, approximately 204 miles per hour. Bruising is very common in paintball when a paintball hits unprotected skin, but above 300 feet per second, there is the risk of the paintball hitting a personís bare skin so hard that some of the paintball itself and also bacteria can be pushed through the pores and under the skin.
