How do you mod. a stock valve into a LP valve. I am trying to save some $. This is for a standard spyder. I also can not seem to get the stock valve out. Any ideas??

to go LP you will need alot of ups. its not just the valve, but that will help too.
Id check otters site out.... www.ottersccustoms.com, he has a page there that describes and helps you go LP.
To get the valve out, take appart the whole gun. This means the grip, expansion chamber, and everything until you have just the body out. There will be a screw on the bottom..... Unscrew that and you got it

so ther's like a set screw under the trigger frame??
I already got the lightning bolt, reg w/ gauge ect.....

The gold colored screw in the bottom of the body that's covered by the trigger frame. Unscrew it and use something like a dowel rod to push the valve out from the back through the front. If you use something metal to push it out you can mar the valve and possibly create a leak or malfunction -

sweet, I got it, now what do I drill out to make this valve LP or should I just buy a new one?

You can get a Magnaport valve for around $15. I'd get that because when I drilled out my stock valve a long time ago there was no real advantage in doing so. IMO it was a big waste of my time -

about 45 bucks and a huge diffrence in flow (the aka valve may get damaged above 450psi) i prefer the rocketvalve. a bit tedius on the initial setup, but well worth the money. you can pick them up used for around 20-25

Choose your model:
I have one of these, it works great. It's cheaper with the bolt combo.

01-29-2007, 01:51 AM
You might. Probably you'll need to start with the main spring first.
