Together. They went on one date and they fell in love. Now they are joined together in holy matrimony.

Sweet. You checked and made sure that you needed to use locktite right? Some don't require it, not sure if you knew that. :D

I like to play it safe. I have seen tanks unscrew and it is not fun.

A little red loctite never hurts.

(I would use blue locktite though......)
Where did you get the 13ci cylinder? Is it 3000psi? 4500?
Nice reg too! :)

I believe its 3000, cause its not CF
but what is the difference between the different color locktites?
(sorry for kinda hijacking the thread Dan)

Red is pretty much permanent and blue can be unscrewed with some muscle. I dont think you need heat to get blue locktight to come loose, but red you have to. Red is a pain to get off.

It would be 3k.

Difference in type so locktite, is how well they "lock."

Red is the hardest to undo, takes lots of heat and torque to break it.

Blue takes some torque, though no heat needed

Purple is the one below Blue I think (?) slightly weaker

Green is weaker still.

My intuition is saying red-purple-blue-green, but my memory says otherwise, maybe someone else knows?

And as to the tank, you make me jealous Bamf :(

I just grabbed my old 9oz CO2 tank, took off the valve and put the new HPA one on.

I cant wait to fill it tomorrow.

I have done that before, when my crossfire tank was bad i just put my old 20 oz tank on the reg. Worked good but didn't hold enough air for me so i got a new tank.

OK before one of you kiddies goes and does that, We are kidding.

That is an approved HPA 13ci Tank and Taco did not put his Crossy reg on a 20oz tank :)

Here is a pic of the tank on Julia in one of her many configs. I will post more later.

The order of loctites from strongest to weakest was green, red, blue, purple I thought...

Looks good Dan! Now it just needs a pair of Hobby's black macro fittings... ;)

Dan are you going to pay for the hole that I put in my house by putting a reg on my 9 oz and filling it?

How many shots do you think you will get out of that thing?

bamf-hacker
01-23-2007, 09:33 AM
About 300 or so shots. I am also going to see how many I get from Lisa on that tank.

bamf-hacker

I got 268 shots using Reballs on Julia. I am going to get it filled and shoot it with Lisa and see how many I get. I am guessing more since Julia runs at 800psi and Lisa at 120psi

Results to follow...

Yeah I am shooting very cold. I will do another round of tests and set the FPS higher.

I like the accessories they have for the 13ci

and if you want a 13ci or 22ci for that matter go here. It is much cheaper.

OK shots per tank update:

I got a full fill on the tank and shot Reball which is small for the barrel and was chrono'd to 280fps. I got 188 +/- 10 or so.

Still not bad. I am going to use the 3.5 CO2 next and see the result

BAMF it looks amazing, I love the colors. Why don't you send your tank in to get anno'd to match. I got both my 3.5 oz and 13 cu in tanks anno'd as do most of the custom colored phantoms we order!

Ummm......well he must like me. I have matching flashlights to me team color scheme. Just can't get anymore.......apparently Mags are hard to re-anno! I have the ability to get them anno'd to match by CCI if you PM me!
