(This was posted with the permission of TheRedBarron :dodgy: )

It is a barrel system. Lucky now makes Spyder barrel backs to mate with their Un1Tech barrels.

Purchased separately - It's $14 for this Back alone. You need to purchase a front as well (They call it the "Bore") and that is $29 for the Bore.

Product description and pics of the backs:

Threading sleeve that fits all UN1tec barrels and will adapt the barrel to any Spyder threaded marker.

Price: $14.00
$14.00 DUST BLUE
$14.00 DUST RED
$14.00 GLOSS RED

These are the Universal barrel fronts (Bores). Any bore will mount into any Lucky back so they can be swapped from Shocker to Angel to Autococker provided you have the proper backs for those markers.

The product description and pic are:

Buy any Barrel Bore size in any color and it will fit any Un1tec Barrel Back. Mix and match or just buy one of each to make a complete barrel.
Barrel Bore:
The first half of a Unitec barrel includes the bore size (that's the internal size) and the color of the tip. Un1tec bores are universal and can fit on almost any paintball marker in the world as long as you have the right Barrel Back for your marker. The Barrel Bore is universal and fits all Un1tec Barrel Backs.
The barrel tip and bore are a single piece so it is impossible to misalign them.

All barrels are 14" in length

Price: $29.00
$29.00 Dust Black
$29.00 Dust Blue
$29.00 Dust Pewter
$29.00 Dust Red
$29.00 Dust Silver
$29.00 Gloss Black
$29.00 Gloss Blue
$29.00 Gloss Pewter
$29.00 Gloss Red
$29.00 Gloss Silver

It's cheaper to get a kit...

Product description:

Barrel Back:
The thread adapter mates the Barrel Bore to your Gun. Switch markers? Back up takes a different Barrel thread? No Problem! Just pick up a second Barrel Back for only $14 and get the same great performance.

Barrel Bore:
One piece means:
No more misalignment.
Fastest clean out after a chop.
More gas efficient.
Laser-like accuracy.
Well ported for quiet operation.
Stylish looks and many color combinations.

Bore Sizes available: .685, .689, .693, .696

I know how many people feel about multiple barrel systems. Some love them, some hate them. This is just another option available to the many barrels already on the market and definitely better than a stock barrel.

I have not personally seen this particular barrel kit but a friend of mine bought a 12" S6 barrel (different model than this one) and loves it. He bought a Dust Red for his Cocker and the anodizing and finish is very very nice. The color was even throughout the barrel and the bore was polished to a fine, mirrored shine. Accuracy on his marker was an average of 4" spread at 40-50 feet. There were some 'wingers' but that could be attributed to bad paint since the majority of shots were right on-target.

I'm going to be getting one of these when I finally decide to get my VS2 from Otter. I will make a proper review of the barrel system at that time.

Don't think you were given permission to post links. Keep it informative not spammish

EDIT: Sorry about that. I removed the other one that was missed...

You're right, it probably won't.

Why would you need permission to post news about Spyder related stuff? Doesn't seem like you need permission to post non-Spyder related news, I'd think this would be more accepted than half the stuff posted in News.

I dont care for the looks or the idea of this system, I dont know maybe it is just me but it doesnt tickle my fancy.

Timmyshoota...yeah...I haven't had the best of luck when it comes to posting stuff lately. I mean...it's ok to talk about the TBoard, post the site/where to get it and blah blah...but other companies are apparently a no-no. No ill feelings though...live and learn....
Barron, yer not the only one. Some people don't like quite a few things for whatever reasons...Fact is, no matter who makes what, you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Peeps like it, peeps hate it. That's part of the game for companies...

I'm not sure about it yet. I like the idea, but the looks haven't grown on me yet. No one around me has one, so I haven't seen it in person yet. Also, reading Vike's review doesn't help either. There somethings in his review that turn me off from them.

I think they look very nice. Wouldnt look too bad on my imagine. :)

IMO the big thing would be if they were able to undercut freak, evil, etc. and when you do the math they pretty much match there prices. The milling on the backs doesn't do much for me, IDK, seems like they just missed the mark on this one. And although I know my opinion doesn't mean anything but I have to side with Timmyshoota and Druid on this one, if it could possibly bring a good product to the users of the forum then why not? I know I have beat the scenario dreams drum on numerous occassions.
