leaking cup seal make you lose a bunch of c02? and would you lose effiency? because today i played with a bunch of my friends and i used one 20 oz, half a 9oz, and another 9 oz. i only went through about 15-17 hundred. On a more positive note this gun rips:D . with the egg i could shoot faster than all my friends. all i had to do was shoot were my friends were and they retreated. it was awesome. i got about 7 kills. oh also i know i have to sand the cupseal but if i put a new one in do you think it would leak?

a leak will make you loose whatever is powering your gun.
so yes, but im not sure how much

it didnt make lose all of it. i just noticed i was running out way faster than i was supposed too. so would replacing it help?

if you know for sure it is leaking, then yes it would

im pretty sure it is leaking because when there is just c02 you can hear it and see it coming out of the barrel. im cleaning my gun and i gonna lube everyting, hopefully that helps too.

If you hear co2 leaking out the barrel that is the first place to start. But i think it would have to be a bad leak to lose that much co2. I use a 20 ounce and get 1100 or so shots from it unless it is very cold out. also shooting fast will draw more liquid co2 out of the tank causing you to use more co2 also. so take temperature and speed of your shots in to consideration also.

it was pretty warm today. My velocity wasnt set that high but i was shooting really fast and my gun was "sweating". also i might have accidently put the 07 screw in the wrong place and put 16 srew instead (the descriptiion is in the manual). and i might have put the 07 where the 16 goes. could this have done any thing wrong?

ok i think i fixed the problem. near the cup seal was a broken o ring. Number 09 in the manual. Is the black o ring in the spare parts a number 09 o ring? would this have caused my problem? also one of my friends took off my volumizer and it popped off with quite a bit of force. would this have caused the oring to break? needless to say he got a good plastering the next war.:p
thanx for help

umm well yeah, all the orings in a spyder are the same, i believe.
01-13-2007, 03:13 PM
ok so would have the oring caused my problems?
01-13-2007, 03:14 PM
yes. Orings or the valve like you said
01-13-2007, 03:23 PM
ok i changed both. thanx for all the help:D

i had that problem in my gun to that it would leak through my barrel but all it is, is a O-ring pop
all u need to do is take apart the whole gun and if u see somethin kinda worn out change it or rip jus replace it and it should work trust me

Yes it is very possible.
You may want to consider having anti-siphon tubes put in your co2 tanks...it stops liquid co2 from entering the gun which can freeze it up and destroy orings.

i have all ready changed the orings and oiled it all up. I cant put an antispyphon because the only plcae that fills c02 near me is walmart. and you they dont even fill it for you your tank gets swapped. Everything is running smoothly again.:D
