Yes, some parts are repairable or replaceable. What is wrong with it?

my friend has a broken noid and He said I can have it for $5 shipped should I take it and try to repair it. I need one for my project and If I can fix it I could save some money. should I do it? I don't know whats wrong with it and he lives to far for me to drive and see it.

It might just need cleaned. There is a spool inside w/ 4 little orings and sometimes that spool just needs wiped down and lubed w/ dow55. Here's the link on how to do it.

on pbnation I was told this
A solenoid is pretty much done-for when something goes wrong with it. You will just have to purchase a new or used one.Should I believe this?

no. there are parts that are replaceable, o rings, the spool and maybe some other parts. typically the ones that can't be replaced have had light weight oil put on them. that then gets into the air and frys the electronics of the solenoid.

^I'd rather buy something once and know it's hostory than having to question how well it was maintained.

^try editing your first post and see if it will let you delete it. this will in effect make the thread go bye bye if you can.

You may want to try www.airsoldier.com

I honestly don't think you'll find them there though. Let me keep looking
