How can you mod the striker?

sand and polish.

Oh yeah I thought you meant you did something to make it lighter.

Well what else have you changed on the gun? There could be a number of things causing the gun to not recock. It helps to know what you have done already.

lube, orings, air or wrong springs could be your problem or problems. a lighter striker right now will lead to more trouble. wait till you find your problem(s) then upgrade.

You probaly got the pressure too low for the spyder. Keep raising the pressure until the sputtering stops.

It could be to much lube.

Just here to help. :D

when you say modded striker are you refering to a polished striker or one that is cut down to reduce weight? polished shouldn't be causing any major problems unless you took it out of round by sanding to much. Did you do any other mods to this marker at the same time? changing to a lighter striker may just make your problems worse because a lighter striker will not hit the valve as hard reucing dwell time( time the valve is open) and causing more sputtering without a spring change. I would check all my orings very carefully or just change them out and lube them up real well. then try again. if you have a regulator i would raise the pressure up a little bit also to see if that helps if the lube and orings don't fix it.

yeah, a lighter striker is a no no unless you're running lp already. i found that out when i was doing tests with my gun.

You need to post your set up so we can pin point areas of trouble.
