hi guys im planning on getting a new gun and i narrowed it down to the following. I like the way the vs2 looks but also like the rocking trigger on electra(without eyes). What would you suggest. Right now i have an imagine with 14 in. J&J barrel, revy with x-board.

if your heart is set on the rocking trigger and you use hpa i would go with the vs3. if your using c02 go with the electra

VS2 all the way. Just you would have to buy a HPA tank. It is worth it though. The Electra is nothing more then a Fenix. Same basic design, same internals. (I had a stock '03 Fenix for a long time before I made it a T-1.) From my experiences, the VS2 is the best. VS3 has the rocking trigger if thats what your interested in.

VS all the way.

Well I'm using Co2 if that has alot to do with it, not really interested in getting hpa. Also is this gun tourney legal???

Hahahaha i find this pretty funny. I had the same and almost similar set up on my imagine for 3 years now and i finally realized i needed a new gun to keep up with everyone elses. I ask the same question as you and then i finally decided to go with the VS3 and i only played 3 games so far and im loving the gun. My only problem was i needed a hpa tank but it was well worth it. hope that helps you out.

In all honesty.. Going from a Spyder and "upgrading" to a Spyder isn't really an upgrade, no matter what kind of spyder you are upgrading to..

I suggest looking into entry level tournament markers, such as the ION or maybe a Promaster or PMR..

Just about every place is gonna have it for around $200 (I think). Check the B/S/T section, there are a couple upped and used ions. But your still gonna need HPA.

why do i need hpa? The description of the gun says you can get 800 shots out of a 20 oz. co2

You can use Anti-Siphoned Co2. The problem with co2 is that with the higher rate of fire you'll have with a higher end marker, liquid Co2 will get inside and freeze the internals. I'm no expert as I still own a spyder that doesn't need HPA, but thats what I've read.

Personally I'd consider the VS series an entry-level tournament marker... Unless you're planning to get really hardcore into tourney ball, a VS would serve you just fine. It's great for once-a-month rec ballers like me who don't feel like dealing with all the complicated electronics in the other high end guns.

could i get an anti-siphon tank that would work with my spyder and ion, or does it even have to be anti-siphon?

dude, if you like the look on the VS2 and are hooked on the rocking trigger, ge the VS3. It's got the exact look of the VS2 and has the rocking trig. ANd also if you decide to ge tthe electra get it with eyes, they make all the difference!!!

a stock vs3 will be better than a stock ion. the ion is more difficult to take apart and maintain and they are over rated. not a bad gun just over rated. The promaster is a better choice but alot more money compared to the vs3. but your using co2 so get the 06 electra with eyes. runs on co2 and will be easier to maintian.

well you see now i am really hooked on the ion, but i dont know if it would be worth getting since i dont have hpa, i can always get anti-siphon. Not really interested in the VS3

ok ok ignore the last post i still really like the ion but am not gonna get it if it shoots like crap with co2. I guess now the question is the vs2 or electra(without eyes) AGAIN!?!?! I like the vs2 better but what i want to know is what shoots better with co2. I heard the vs2 does good if its anti-siphoned, is that true?

you should think long term.

you will not be using co2 much longer as you progress into the sport longer.

get the vs2...

well see i really dont shoot that fast, maybe capable of 12 bps, and i just play recball every couple weeks, so do you think if i got co2 anti-siphoned that my vs2 would be fine? and can anything happen like parts freezing up like on the ion?

VS2 with an antisiphoned tank or just go remote line and you should be fine. just do not do both at the same time

if youplay at a field that fills hpa then you can get a steely 48/3000 for 50 bucks. 20 ounce co2 at walmart is 29.00 i think what 15 dollars more for hpa is a good investment over co2. if it is available

I had the same problem! My girl bought me the 06 electra with the Eyes.

I wanted the VS3. Once I held the VS3 in my hands there was no confusion.

The VS3 is great. It's lighter than the Electra, better looking and newer technology.

AND you can get the VS3 for $229 at Action Village!
