i think josh will be able to give the best answer, but alot of big tools i believe.

Ithink you should send it some where, it will cost alot less to do it that way then do it yourself

im not sure, but when you think about it dremel + your time + other parts to make it smooth...is gonna be alot, and it might not turn out great or as you wanted it. A place who specializes in it, will do it right, and you wont have an extra dremel and all laying around.

I used a dremel with cutting discs, NEW mill files (because they are sharp new) and about 20 hours of work. Mark out what you want to remove with a Sharpie and go at it SLOWLY. Needle or Jeweler's files for round areas...and all I did is to remove the vision window from my Esprit...

cheap mans milling machine is a drill press. ya can buy a small vise, that has handcranks and moves the material. only problem is the drill press doesnt take to much side load, so will have to go slow. this only works good for non precision cutting. myself i use the milling machine at work

I did all the "milling", or as I like to call it "dre-milling", on that with my dremel and files. I did all the basic cut a with fiber reinforced cut discs. Then I did the round shaping with grinding stones for the dremel. Then I smoothed it all out with an assortment of files.

Thats a TL-X body incase you were wondering and it started out looking like this:
