I kind of understand but I don't.....

Pure Energy 72ci 3000psi

Kingman 45ci 4500psi HPA

Which one will give me more shots? +'s and -'s of each tank.

The Pure engergy is larger in volume but the Kingman has a higher PSI.

I was pricing tanks today. I kind of knew that but got myself confused. :p

I am just trying to figure this thing out here. An Electra w/ eye or the VS3?

Damn it, my girl bought me an Electra for X-Mas. She paid $299 for it. It's $239 online. I feel like there's money left on the table because I still need to buy a loader. So go Co2 with the Electra, save on the HPA tank or take the Electra back, get the VS3 ($239) and use that money to buy the loader BUT then I'll have to buy a HPA tank..........

heh heh.......you mean this one???
Now remember...I'm 6'1", 235 lbs. I work out about 2x's a week in the prison's (crappy) gym and the marker is a Stage 5 Ion...which is approximately the same size as a (not quite as tall) VS or Shocker....

And again...what size tank is that? A 114/45?????????????

Not too bad... How many shots are you getting from that?

Right... and if he's following my math, approximately 3000-3,500 shots per fill. More most likely since he's changed it since I last crunched numbers for him.

Why do I calculate about 1,700 shots?

114 x 15= 1,700 +/-

Because you're using that calculator. I know how many psi per shot Druid's Ion used, so I did some quick math. The times 15 stuff is bull, don't go by that at all unless your marker gets **** for efficiency. You'll get about 1,000 shots per 45/45 and about 1,500 shots per 68/45 with a tuned marker. ;)

My Stage 5'd Ion that you see in the pics has the following upgrades Stage 4 MAC noid, TechT L6 bolt, CP reg (plus other aesthetic ups). Input psi is 105/110 psi, board settings are stock except for dwell which is a TRUE 4ms and paint speed of 280 fps (field limit). On those settings alone I got almost 3600 shots from the tank. :D

Now...on my (just about stock) M98, I get just shy of a full case at 280 fps and on my LP'd Esprit I got a little over 2600 shots. My Traccer gets about as many as the M98 but it obviously takes longer to shoot that much paint.

One think I'd like to note about my tank...it's obviously NOT for everyone...lol. It's OMGHumongusly long and you need long monkey-arms or a huge drop. I have long arms and still need the flame drop on my Ion just to get the marker into shooting position. Same goes for my Autococker (although I haven't shot it on thc cocker yet) which has a CP drop. On the Traccer, it's almost a perfect shoulder stock length but good luck finding a bottle-wrap that big. The 88/91 covers kinda fit but really don't and never mind finding a butt-plate like you can get cor CO2. I thought about putting Plasti-Dip on the bottom of the tank just to have some shoulder grip or having my mother-in-law make a bottle bag for it and Plasti-Dipping that.
These 114/45 tanks are kind of old and hard to find anymore and the reg mine uses can't be rebuilt anymore (airsmith tried and it doesn't hold anymore) so I need to replace the reg :( ...
One of the endearing factors about this tank is that because I play a lot of rec ball and refills are impossible. No one has a hydro'd SCBA and even then it only fills to 3000 psi. As a walk-on on reg fields, air fills cost the same as any other 4500 (fill coupons) and I can stay on the field twice, or even 3 times as long as anyone else. I only have to deal with the size and weight of the tank but as I said in previous posts, I'm a bigger guy of husky+strong build so that doesn't bother me.
