i thought ringing was normal, who said that phones were supposed to make abnoxious noises that embarrassed you so much that you HAVE to pick up the phone to end the akward moment

Let me just say from a tech support standpoint that BlueTooth is a joke. If you're getting any features to work beyond talking through it, consider yourself lucky.

My guess is that the handsfree profile on either your phone or your headset have different parameters.

In short, you're screwed.

I don't understand what you are talking about now...your phone having bluetooth should have nothing to do with what ringtones you can have.

My phone has bluetooth, and I can download ringtones...

are u guys familiar w/motomixer? well, if not, it lets u make ur own ringtones by using a base ringtone that they provide.

wat i wanna know is, is there a way i can get any other types of tones to play when someone calls me other than the simpe ringing.

download them. Goto settings. Goto Audio. It will say Style: ??? and below that ??? Detail. I have mine on Loud style. Goto Detail and then to Calls. Change that to the song you want. Thats the way it works with every motorola phone.

If you have the bluetooth headset, it only rings in your ear. It will just ring a normal ring. Just use the regular phone wihtout the headset. Nobody have hear your ringtone anyways, so who cares what it rings.

Jabra BT800 (http://www.jabra.com/JabraCMS/NA/EN/MainMenu/Products/WirelessHeadsets/JabraBT800/JabraBT800)

This headset will allow ring tones. I have it and it works.
