for lubing your o-rings and all that..do you have to use the oil specially made for paintball guns or is there a different oil you can use that is similar to the ones you buy at paintball shops?

everyone will reccomend paintball oil because that is what it was designed for. never use wd40 or any penetrating oil(pb blaster, aerokroil) you can use air tool oil as a last resort and mayber even better than paintball oil is synthetic air tool oil( should be able to find it in lowes tool section).

The reason you should only use paintball oil is that some oils have detergents and/or chemicals that can break down the o-rings in your marker. Although I have a friend who uses Hoppes gun oil, but maintains it regularly and replaces them anyway before they wear; -so who's to say what's right?

Just use oil designed for paintball markers. you're not going too save any money by getting WD40 or 3M oil. Paint ball oil isn't expensive, it cost about the same.
