i just got a pmi 48/3000 tank and i was planning on geting a Dye tank cover but i wasnt sure if the 45 cubic inch cover would fit it. i also wasnt sure if the covers are just for fiber wrapped tanks or if they fit on the aluminum tanks too.

so in other words. what size Dye Tank cover should i get for my 48/3000 aluminum tank.

Im going to the paintball store later today (its 2 in the morning) for a couple things, the cover being one of them, so if i could get an answer sometime this morning or afternoon that would be great, if not i will just compare sizes because i have to fill my tank anyway.

thanks in advance :D

The newer DYE covers will not fit very well, they do not stretch. You would be better off getting a NXe Redz or JT cover, somthing that is neoprene and wouldn ot have much trouble stretching over the tank. 04 DYE covers stretched pretty good but the newer ones do not.

Just take the tank with you and ask to try putting it on.

How important is it to have a tank cover? Cause I was hoping to not have to drop the cash on one...

for a 48/3000 steel tank you don't need it, But I like one because it keeps the tank from sliding on my jersey.

yes, its like insurance, like if you buy a case for an ipod to keep it from breaking.

i want one for the same reason, so the tank isnt all over the place. do you have a dye cover? what size cover did you get, a 45 cu in which stretched another 3 cu in?

YES! :)

While you do not need one... Not having one is kind of dumb. It is like driving a car without auto insureance. Carbon fiber tanks are pretty strong but the simplest thing could make the $200 buck tank fail hydro. Its only $25 bucks give or take. It could end up saving you $200.

:yeahthat: I got a tank cover free with my 68/45, and after I took off the over I got to see a nice, shiny, LINB CF tank. They are worth the small amount of cash you put into them.
