Well I had a little power issue in my house and the Holiday lights went out. Being that Christmas is in 2 days I needed some quick answers to get them back working. Now I am not to shabby when it comes to home projects or electrical stuff, but I was stumped on this one.

So I did a little research and found the DoItYourself forums.

Let me tell you, I posted my issue and had answers in minutes...

I found my new favorite home improvement forum.

Lights are back on and we are good to go!

LOL Nice Red....

I had a GFCI that was tripped in my utility room. I forgot all about it and the circuit it was on was the same one as my outdoor outlets. So when the holiday lights wouldn't come on I thought it was the circuit breaker. After I reset it there was still no lights because of the GFCI. They just helped jump start my brain then I went a looking for the tripped plug.

Ah, most people don't realize that the GFCI's traits are passed along to all the receptacles thereafter on the circuit. Glad it was something simple at least!
