i want to the lights/scope on the sides rather ontop...if so what would i need to do that?

You might want to consider these upgrades:
Tactical Handguards
-RAP4 Phantom RIS handguard (http://rap4.com/paintball/os/paintball-handguard-package-p-1934.html) - IIRC pbgranpa has this as his setup.
-Opsgear 7" RIS handguard (http://www.opsgear.com/Paintball-Barrel-M4-Weaver-Hand-Guard-7-Inch?sc=22&category=230) - There's also a 9" version.
If you don't wish to spend full on a handguard here are other options:
-RAP4 Trimount Riser RIS (http://rap4.com/paintball/os/trimount-riser-p-443.html) goes on top of your MR2 - hopper might get in the way unless you have a Qloader.
-Tri-Rail Barrel Mount (http://www.precisionairsoft.com/item1282.htm) Couldn't find the paintball version but it pretty much works the same way for paintball and airsoft.
Have fun with new options.

er...would the
lapco offset sight mount fit the mr2?
details:
