well if you call a person on their cell phone and put *67 infront of the phone number that person cant see who is calling or call them back

friends do this all the time, one just now and i would like to know if anyone here konws what to do to acess the number

To my knowledge, you can't. Last time a friend of my pranked some guy with the private *67 in front, and the guy he pranked threatened him. He was scared s---less so he called Verizon to make sure his phone number couldn't be revealed and they said it couldn't.

The way to avoid it... don't pick up the phone.

Verizon fed your friend a bunch of bull. The record exists of what number called any other number, but accessing those records requires a court order.

Bigred's answer is the most practical.

The data is still transmitted, just not shown on caller ID. I called my friend with the number blocked and my picture still came up on his phone, but not my number.

I always heard you can dial *69 and it will call the person right back. I"ve never actually tried it though.
