Seal help!

I have a Spyder Esprit and I am having a problem getting a seal where the vertical adapter goes into the main body. I have found there are a couple scratches that I can feel that seem to be in the same area that it is leaking.

Does anyone know a good way to smooth out these or have any other suggestions for things to try.

change/grease the orings

Yep, already tried that several times.

lightly sand the scratches down trying not to increase the inside diameter of the hole....then use a fresh set of o rings...
