Well, since my search came up blank. I thought I would start a thread showcasing local teams. You can post up to 3 pictures and links to videos of the teams in here. (trying to keep it from getting too crouded.)

Since I've made the thread, I will go first and show you what I am talking about.

I dont know if you guys have heard of Tippmann Effect or not, but the players work (I guess ex players now) at my field and are managers. They are our local heroes I guess haha. Mitch has been on the X-ball box before and in a few mags advertising X-ball.

Below are a few videos of Tippmann Effect for those who dont know who they are.

(I thought this video was funny... Travis is a cool guy, he works on the computers and the website/tourny computer work and organisation. Hes the one in the video that is like... "Good at it :) " Also... notice the profilers they are wearing...)

Next for the images:
(notice the NVP logos... proof that they are from our field/managers)

We also have a team called Rochester N'Vasion... but there are no pics of them yet. (At least that I can find... we have a DVD of them in the N'Vasion Paintball store.)

ive heard of both those teams, i played wth some kids from nvasion a while ago.

makes me sad when i see tippman effect shooting tippys. i dont know why it just does, they probably shoot great for them.

They have them so heavily modded, they shoot great haha. But its not about the gun, its the user. All the guns shoot paint... you just have to get used to how your specific gun does it.

For me, as long as its consistant, and efficient.. and pretty fast (for speedball) I will at least try it.

Wow - you asked for it! LOL!

We have a lot of new teams (3 man beginner-type) around here. The only team that's done anything tournament-wise would be the team I played on (Catalyst.) Not sure what they're doing right now, though.

************************************************** *****************************************

For those of you who don't know, I started Catalyst as a woodsball team back in early summer of 2004, then by the end of summer, we were sponsored by our field, several local businesses, NPS and Empire and we played our very first tournament on a speedball (supair field.) We had never even SEEN a supair field before! We took 4th out of 10 teams at that one...

There have been about 21 players move in and off the team over the past couple of years, but as far as longevity goes, we're one of the longer-lived local teams here are in Oklahoma. We developed a pretty decent reputation as being good, hard balling and (hopefully) honest teams around and people constantly wanted to practice and play for/with us.

For two years, we've been sponsored by Redz, and this year we got picked up by Empire, NPS (again) and a couple of online places. We even got our pictures on the Redz website!

As I said, I quit around March of this year, and only played with them a couple of times since. Who knows? Maybe next Spring, I'll beg my way back onto the team.

Here's the team website (http://www.geocities.com/the_ko_boys/index.html?1121128470515)in case you're interested in more...

Anyway, here's a few pics to show the evolution of the team. We went from this:

I've got a few videos. It's been about a year since I posted them, so there might be some newer guys here that haven't seen them. I'm the shortest guy on the team!

Here's a video from the last tournament I played in before I stopped playing for good (January 2006). We placed 2nd in the novice division - missed first by 20 points. It was super windy, super cold and super fun! It was good because two of our players had never even been in a tournament before, but because of me, my co-captain and another player's experience, we had to play the highest division they had.

Sorry for the quality! It was filmed by my wife and she tends to get excited and not watch the viewscreen on the camera. I'm the short guy with the blue/black sandana and Stars and Stripes bandana and grey Profilers (also shooting the blue shocker) that ALWAYS played the middle and the far side of the field (from the camera - usually in the rollies...)

This was from the TAP Indoor Open tournament a couple years ago - we were playing under the psuedo-name "The KO Boys" (for Kansas-Oklahoma) while we were having problems with getting decent players to come the distance to play with us.

It was our first Open Class tournament - we played teams like Oklahoma Impact, Karnage Factory from Missouri (I think that's where they're from) Justice Leage (we rolled these guys!), B Unit - these guys won the Texas event this year, and a couple other teams. All had won or placed high in major tournaments that year. We were told these guys were using this tournament as a warmup for the next PSP event. We ended up placing 8th overall - missed the finals by one game.

Cool thing about this tournament was we picked up three people we'd never played with before and were just playing for fun. One was Donavan Clary, who used to play pro and was ranked number 1 in the World by Warpig back in 2000. He made this tournament so much fun - it was absolutely the best time I ever had playing tournament ball! In this one, I'm the short guy playing back (closest to the camera) with the red Redz jersey, Empire tournament pants and the grey Profilers shooting the blue Shocker.

Here was the second ever tournament (November 2004)we ever played in (took 4th place in a tournament in a tournament prior to this.) We took 1st in this one (beginner division.) Again, the picture is horrible - my wife filmed most of this through the netting and there was a nasty glare. It had been raining for a couple weeks prior to this - there were HUGE lakes in the middle of the field and on the side I played - In this one, I'm the short guy wearing the red and black painted Vforce Shield and playing the zipper on the far side of the field all day long. Incidently, that was surrounded by a lake about 6 inches deep that became about a foot of mud by the end of the day! We only lost one game this tournament.

Vike, post the pic with the gatorade bottle :)

This one? Yeah, this was during the finals of the first tournament we won. It's not a bad picture, it actually was that dark when we played! It had been raining for about two weeks and I played that area around the zipper/dorito all day long - when the tournament started it was about a foot deep in water. Later, after being played in all day, it was about 8 inches of mud!

I actually like this picture the most of all my pictures - as for the gatorade bottle - it made it's way around the field all day long. I was locked down at one point and saw it so I shot it - got a warning from the ref about it also, LOL! Also, I think it's one of those V8 splash things - but I could be wrong.
