I own a Rodeo (hence why I joined this forum!) I was cleaning it the other day and I noticed some scratches inside the receiver (you can see the aluminum and there are some noticable chipped paint areas) I would like to know if the gun will still work (and not damage itself!) or if I should shell out 75$ for a new receiver (contacted Kingman asked how much it would cost to replace.)

take a pic of it and host it with photobucket or image shack. Light scratching and anno wear is normal. Deep, pitted gouges are bad. The pic will help us help you better.

Where could I buy the replacement? (my friend is letting me borrow his Rodeo so I can see if it is worth my $50 to own it.) But I have been looking on the market from Cockers' to Phantoms'. I went on Kingmans website and all they are selling in the refurb aisle are Imagines. I really love this gun,but after getting a quote for $75 (for a replacement receiver from Kingman), I am paying the same price as a brand new one.

you can find used ones online, that still work well, for lower than 75.

thats what id suggest to do

Exactly....look around on e-bay. You might be able to find one to use for parts, etc. at a good price.
