View Full Version : Loader Size Comparison...

OK well since I now have a Pulse and a lot of people want to compare its size to the other loaders I figured it would be good idea to do a size comparison.

I made a rack out of PVC to hold the loaders. They are all lined up by the feednecks so you can see what they would look like on a gun. None of the feednecks are cut.

Here we go...

Loaders used are, from left to right:

Draxxus Pulse - Viewloader VLocity - Odyssey Halo B - Viewloader Evolution - Viewloader Revolution.

Loaders from the Back

Loaders from the Front

Very interesting... I didn't realize the Pulse was skinnier than my Zeggy.

Nice reball box, btw. :)

OK some info to add.

Here are actual ball counts for the loaders. All the loaders were preloaded, so these numbers are to the feedneck bottom.

Pulse = 177
Halo B= 191
VLocity= 200
Evolution= 211
Revolution= 185 (but mine is modded for the Warp so say 200)

Once I get a scale I can do weights also.

Is the DXS loud when it pulses? I play woodsball and would like it to be quiet when I'm not shooting.

Nah it is not too bad. It is quieter than the VLocity for sure.

does anyone have the ball capacity stats? i could swear i saw them on here before somewhere. i timed my zeggy at 10 seconds with a full hopper, but i know that it cant hold 230 balls.

kidonfire

I remember reading that the eggy doesn't feed as fast as they say. I think it was the y-boarded eggy did 15 or 16 and the z-boarded eggy did about 19. I still have the box from my eggy and it says 195 capacity, so that sounds about right.

vikingshadow

I believe the capacity of the Eggy is about 180 - 200 balls max - it holds more than a pod.

THe y board will consistantly feed (with fresh batteries) about 15 bps. With the Z board, it feeds consistantly at about 17-18 bps. Now, you can burst higher, and the batteries do make a difference.

No problem. :) I wanted to say 200+ on the ball count - even typed it out - but then questioned myself so I changed it. Oh, well.

Hey, Dan - gonna get the newest 4-5 loaders and add them to the comparison? What is there? The Magna, the Torque, the NXE, the ???

which one is your favorite?

bamf-hacker
06-20-2011, 04:35 PM
Well since it's been four years since I posted this I can't tell you which of those I like the best.

My current loader is a Rotor and a Prophecy as my backup.

DFSniper
06-20-2011, 05:42 PM
x2 for me. the rotor may hold less, but its a zero maintenance hopper. turn it on and go.
