Yes, I'd assume you can use DOW33....I wouldn't sugest it because it just isnt very, well, practical.

Oil/lube all the orings and any other part that would have any metal-on-metal contact.

or you could do the oil in the ASA thing...

put 4 or 5 drops of paintball oil in the ASA, put air on it and fire it 10 or so times without the barrel on. That will get oil into all of your internals that need it.

Not really quite as well as they need it, Hacker.

Well definitely not as well as taking it apart, but the bible (http://www.ottersccustoms.com/upkeep.html) says it is ok ;)

I still take mine apart, I figure I need to clean it anyway so when it goes back together is gets lubed.

About the Dow 33. I've heard that putting it on your bolt and striker orings can cause problem. The dow can make the orings expand therefore making it harder for the bolt and/or striker to move. I'd use gold cup if I were you, its one of the best oils available.

Dow33's OK for paintball use and I think Dow55 is the one that makes the o-rings swell. It has a lithium grease base that has petroleum distillates in it which is what causes the swelling. In some applications, swelling is good. Not so in moving parts of paintball markers especially when using C02 as a propellant. I've tried Dow33 in my Spyder and it doesn't seem to go well with them. It's prolly the thick tacky nature of it. I've even tried other silicone based lubes and none seemed to yield as good a results as plain ol Gold Cup. Maybe the cheap marker likes cheap oil. I dunno -
