View Full Version : changing to rear cocking

11-14-2006, 06:34 PM
I've seen posts on here about people switching their top cocking delrin bolt to a rear cocking and I'm getting sick of my pin always popping out. So i just want to do this right. Can any body tell me how it's done?

Does your Pilot have the top half of the velosity adjuster? (The part that covers the back of the bolt)
If it doesn't, just switching the bolt is all you would have to do.
If it is still intact, you will have to modify it by removing the top half and smoothing it out before installing the bolt.
(The rear cocking bolt has a fixed pin that attaches it to the striker)

I am ordering a bolt from alamocity bolts and they are milling an extra ball detent in a spyder extra rear cocking bolt for me to use in my pilot.

ok but i don't have the money to buy a new bolt. I thought there was a way to modify it to rear cocking.

Read the threads and if you still have questions checkout Otter SC's website, look under Home Mod's on the Spyder page.
