Does anybody on here do Model UN for their school? If so what country(s) wre you assigned, and what comittee are you in?
My school has Nicaragua and Pakistan
I am in the Legal Comittee for Nicaragua.
For those who dont know what model un is, its pretty simple. Schools from all over the place practice throughout the year for the big Model UN conference down at Georgetown.

I remember doing that in the 8th grade. I was England, and it was fun. But it never went beyond so much as a small classroom project.

the other reason why i didnt go is because i dont feel like paying $500 to argue about politics from 9 til 4 for 5 days. if i wanted to do that, i can just come on here (which is what i usually do...)

I represented Tunisia at UGAMUNC 3 years ago.... Environmental Council... Did really well.... Got an award.... Then, with the award under my belt, I decided I had enough to put on my college apps.... And quit... :)

they do that at my school at the end of the year, you have a little show of the clothes that come from the area, and then theres a music/dance show. usually theres a spanish dance, if you know what i mean, with the elaborate costumes, and then theres a few people who sing a song or two from there country.
its worth it IMO
