I told you it wasn't :busted:.
Anyway, I'm looking to get a new gun because I'm having alot of trouble with my Spyder and I don't really see the point is sinking more money into it. I know the ion and promaster are good ones and if I had to choose, I would take the promaster. I was wondering what the next, um, level(?) up would be. if I had about 300 - 400 bucks, what would you get? Thanks

Wait to see what the Smartparts Epiphany is going to look and perform like. I have an ion now and might make the move if it has some significant improvements. It's probably going to be in that price range. I love my ION and I'm having a tenth of the problems that I was having with my spyder, so I would personally buy another SP product without hesitation.

This isnt a great list but it is a start - http://www.paintballforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144363

Also there Invert Mini being released this year is $450.

After that there isnt much in that price range oddly enough. It seems that everything is ~$200 or over $700....

hmm
id say go with upping an ion, still.
Say ion 150
barrel 50
cp onoff and cp reg 80
trigger 20
body kit-50
bolt-20

then your gun is customized completely how you want it, and you can make it exactly how you invision your dream-gun being.
(Look what bamf-hacker did with his ions)
thats just my 2 cents

proto rail and invert mini are both going to be 399.

If you don't mined buying used you could probably find a DM4, PM5, Shocker or 2k2/2k5 timmy in that price range.

Has anyone tried this out? How does this compare to a promaster?

This man speaks the truth.. Last month, I picked up a 2k2 Timmy with an AIM body and a few good ups for 220.. It needed new eyes but after the 20 bucks for new eyes I was only at 240, and The gun shoots AMAZINGLY. Just look around and you will find a good deal..

personally id say, since its November and the year '07 is near, lets wait and find the new line of markers.

I'd have to suggest the Invert Mini, which will be 350 (not 399 as taco said) or the proto rail.
Of course autocockers are nice, and perform well, though if you've been having trouble with you spyder let me say that Autocockers are much much more complicated than most other guns.

I am in the market for about the same price but a little lower (150-250) So I have basically narrowed my choices down to the promaster

So I would choose the promaster or wait for some of the newer guns to come out

I'm looking at the Invert Mini page, and in the features section it says,

"Weighs under 2lbs (including barrel, ASA, 9Volt and regulator) the Invert Mini might be the lightest and tightest electronic marker available"

Then under the price it says 6 lbs. :news: :p

The gun only wieghs 2lbs so maybe the pakaging weighs 6lbs? or being shipped as a 6lbs packege.. I just did a little check. For the VS2 it also says 6lbs and the VS2 weight just over 2lbs with everything so i wouldnt worrie about it.

Yeah, I know its not 6 lbs. I just thought that was kinda funny.

Ok, looking at the epiphany (idk if I spelled that right) and this has some real possibilities. $400 is a little steep as I still would have to get an HPA tank.

i would either get the promaster for 280 when the whole asa and macro line is payed for or the MINI (450), because the new Sp gun is basically and upped ION.
